St. Vital Movie Theatre Gets Upgraded Auditorium

By Tyler Sutherland

Moviegoers to SilverCity St. Vital Cinemas will be treated with first-of-its-kind technology in Manitoba starting today.

The first UltraAVX auditorium will open, showing the highly anticipated James Bond film, “Skyfall.” UltraAVX auditoriums feature wall-to-wall screens, an ultra high definition picture, and a cutting edge Dolby Atmos surround sound system. The auditorium will also include comfortable high-back rocker seats and the opportunity for guests to reserve seating in advance.

Future films to screen in the new auditorium include “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2” and “The Hobbit.”

The announcement follows Cineplex Entertainment’s opening of Cineplex Odeon McGillivray and VIP Cinemas last week.
