There won’t be a shortage of ways to honour Canada’s war veterans today as the city takes in a handful of Remembrance Day ceremonies.

The most populous will be at the Winnipeg Convention Centre beginning at 10:15 a.m. The Joint Veterans Association of Manitoba is hosting the public ceremony, which runs until about noon. All are welcome to attend.

Nearby, the 38 Canadian Brigade Group will hold a gun salute from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

A ceremony will also take place at the memorial to the 44th Battalion of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in Vimy Ridge Memorial Park (corner of Portage Avenue at Home Street) beginning at 10:30 a.m.

A complete list of ceremonies and services in Winnipeg can be found at veterans.gc.ca.
