A new gymnasium at École George V School opened on Tuesday evening.
School and community leaders joined Education Minister Nancy Allan and the Winnipeg School Division’s board of trustees to officially open the gym.
The addition adds more than 7,000-square-feet on to the school, including an elevator and accessible washrooms.
The Grey Street school services 284 students from nursery level to Grade 7.
Construction was funded by the Manitoba government.
