The chaos and confusion over the City of Winnipeg’s snow-clearing parking ban has subsided — for now.

No winter parking bans are in effect as of Thursday morning, as the city has now completed its last round of snow-clearing. After hundreds of tows and retracted tickets, residents this year complained of a lack of communication and a confusing zone system.

“The City of Winnipeg wishes to thank all Winnipeggers for their patience and cooperation as we implemented the new residential (P3) street parking ban for the first time this winter,” a news release read.
