A Winnipeg doctor was honoured Thursday morning by receiving the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal.
Dr. Ian Rabb was recognized by Winnipeg South Centre MP Joyce Bateman for his dedication of service to the community in helping those battling addictions.
“Dr. Ian Rabb has made a significant impact in our community over the years through his support of those struggling with addiction and his commitment to help them make positive choices,” Bateman said. “Ian cares about helping others make a difference in their lives and this is evident in his work with Two Ten Recovery Inc.”
Two Ten Recovery provides safe, structured drug and alcohol-free housing for those in recovery.
Rabb has also created the Anonymous Angel Fund, which will aim to raise $1 million to help those waiting for addiction treatment to access services across the country in a more timely fashion.
Rabb is also a finalist in a Scotiabank contest to win $100,000 for his organization.
