Winnipeg Harvest Wants Your Boots This Winter

November 16, 2012 2:29 PM | News

Winnipeg Harvest is calling on Manitobans to hold boot drives in an effort to collect donations this winter and help keep the feet of their clients warm.

The More Than Shoes campaign was launched Friday, and encourages those willing to run a boot drive or drop off their own running shoes or boots to the food bank.

“We want Manitobans and as well as groups and businesses to help out by holding new boot drives to donate those new boots (from children’s size 13 to adults’ size 7) to Winnipeg Harvest so children can enjoy our hearty winter in comfort,” said Wendy Erlanger, school programs manager at Winnipeg Harvest and founder of the More Than Shoes program.

To run a boot drive or to drop off new running shoes or boots, call Wendy at (204) 982-3663 ext. 442 or at Winnipeg Harvest.
