Two people have died following a head-on crash near Garson, Manitoba Tuesday evening.
The crash happened at about 6:45 p.m. on Highway 44 when a car travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes collided with an eastbound pickup truck.
RCMP say an 88-year-old man was driving the car at the time, while his 85-year-old wife was in the passenger seat. Both died at the scene and were residents of the RM of St. Clements.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 29-year-old Tyndall man, was airlifted to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision.
Garson is located about 45 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
