Tractor-Train Crash Sends Man to Hospital Near Carberry

A collision between a farm tractor and train has sent a 44-year-old man to hospital just east of Brandon near Carberry.

RCMP say the John Deere tractor was struck by an eastbound Canadian Pacific train shortly before noon on Tuesday.

The crash happened at an uncontrolled train crossing south of the Trans-Canada Highway on Road 93W.

The driver of the tractor, a man from the RM of North Cypress, was taken to hospital. His condition isn’t known.

RCMP and CP officials are investigating the crash.
