A 76-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle near Pembina Highway and Dalhousie Drive (north).
Police closed the intersection to northbound traffic at about 6 p.m. and didn’t reopen it until about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Police say the man crossed the southbound lanes of Pembina in front of the Windsor Plywood store when he attempted to cross the northbound lanes and was hit. There are no crossing lights at that location.
A four-door Pontiac Sunfire sedan could be seen at the crash site with its windshield smashed in on the passenger side.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (204) 986-6271 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
