The province opened Winnipeg’s second QuickCare Clinic on Friday, meant to treat minor ailments.
The St. Boniface clinic is located at 17 St. Mary’s Road and will begin seeing patients on Monday, November 26.
“QuickCare Clinics, staffed with nurse practitioners and nurses, offer families a convenient alternative for common health concerns, and it’s an alternative that’s also more cost effective than visiting an ER or walk-in clinic,” Health Minister Theresa Oswald said.
The first QuickCare Clinic opened in January on McGregor Street and has seen more than 7,500 patients since then. The newest clinic will see patients weekdays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It will eventually expand its hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
