Manitoba Liberal leader Jon Gerrard and a group of 2011 flood evacuees will hold a rally on the steps of the legislature this afternoon.
The rally is set for noon to “rally the NDP to be fully accountable for their decision to artificially flood out First Nations communities to save other communities,” according to a Liberal press release.
The evacuees will then attend question period at 1:30 p.m.
Prior to the rally, the evacuees will watch a documentary from filmmaker Dr. Myrle Ballard, “Flooding Hope: The Lake St. Martin First Nation Story.”
