The Buhler Gallery at the St. Boniface Hospital is celebrating its fifth anniversary.
The gallery has welcomed 75,000 visitors through its doors since opening in September 2007. Manitoban artists have been showcased alongside artists from around the world. Programming at the gallery has grown to include musical performances, panel discussions, and poetry readings, all designed to enhance the patient, visitor and staff experience.
To celebrate the milestone, St. Boniface Hospital has published a book entitled “Visual Celebrations,” while the hospital’s foundation will hold an art raffle early next year. Proceeds from both will support the ongoing operations of the gallery.
The book will launch at McNally Robinson Booksellers at Grant Park on Tuesday, December 4 at 8 p.m. Tickets for the raffle are currently on sale for the January 22, 2013 draw. Prices are $10 each or $20 for three and can be purchased at Visual Celebrations retailers, or by calling (204) 237-2067.
