Misericordia’s ‘Angel Squad’ Back for Another Year

December 4, 2012 6:38 AM | News

Misericordia Health Centre Foundation’s “Angel Squad” (HANDOUT)

Angels will be out and about during this morning’s commute collecting donations for the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation.

From 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Angel Squad will be on the Maryland “Bridge of Angels” dressed in gowns, wings and halos to collect drive-by donations and spread the holiday spirit.

The angels will be at Misericordia’s Sherbrook Street entrance daily for 90 minutes until Thursday, December 6.

Funds raised will go to support life-enrichment programs at the centre — everything from artists at the bedside to music therapy with iPods to a residents’ choir.

Further details on the foundation’s work can be found on their website.
