The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced the signing of three non-imports on Thursday.
Offensive lineman Brendan Dunn, defensive back Jawann Westerman and defensive back Teague Sherman will suit up with the Blue and Gold.
Dunn is a Burlington, Ontario native who was drafted by the Bombers in the third round (17th overall) of the 2011 CFL Draft and spent all of last season on the team’s practice roster.
Westerman comes from Brampton, Ontario and joined the Blue Bombers’ practice roster in October after going undrafted in the CFL Draft.
Sherman, a native of Edmonton, comes from the University of Manitoba Bisons as a free agent. The 24-year-old finished his five-year career at Manitoba with his second consecutive CIS First Team All-Canadian selection at the safety position (2011, 2012). In the 2012 Canada West season, he finished first in conference tackles per game with 7.5 after playing in six of eight conference games.
