A 22-year-old man was killed Friday night after his vehicle was struck on Highway 6 near Warren, Manitoba.

RCMP say the Little Saskatchewan First Nation man was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt heading northbound when he attempted to make a U-turn. His vehicle, which was carrying a woman and two children at the time, was hit by a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu on the driver’s side.

All of the occupants of the Cobalt were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver was later pronounced deceased.

The 23-year-old man driving the Malibu wasn’t injured.

The crash, which happened at about 11:45 p.m., had the highway closed for eight hours while RCMP investigated.
