The University of Winnipeg Wesmen women’s volleyball team has announced the commitment of another stellar player for next season.
Stephanie Hunt from Miles MacDonell Collegiate will join the squad in September for the 2013-2014 Canada West season.
The 5’11” middle was named a Manitoba Volleyball Association Graduating All-Star following the 2012 season. She played a vital role in leading the Buckeyes to a Final Four appearance at this year’s AAAA Provincial Volleyball Championships.
“We are very proud of the effort and dedication that Stephanie has put into her development in her time with us. Her incredible and unique athleticism will make her an excellent Wesmen for years to come,” said Andy Tesch, Mavericks volleyball club head coach.
Hunt plans to pursue a career in physiotherapy while at the U of W.
