Prepare to shell out a little more in the new year if you ride public transit.
The City of Winnipeg reminded citizens on Tuesday of new fares going into effect on Tuesday, January 1.
Full and Handi-Transit cash fares will be $2.50. Reduced and Senior cash fares will be $2. Monday to Friday bus passes will increase by 35 cents to $19.35, while monthly passes go up to $82.80 from $77. SuperPass (Monday to Sunday) rates remain unchanged at $21.50.
2012 bus tickets will be accepted until Sunday, March 31, 2013.
