A 19-year-old Killarney man is facing impaired driving charges after crashing his pickup truck into a hydro pole.

RCMP responded to the single-vehicle crash shortly after midnight Friday on Highway 10 about 12 kilometres south of Brandon.

The vehicle was travelling southbound at the time when it collided with the pole on the west side of the highway after losing control.

The driver and lone occupant was taken to Brandon Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

He has also been charged with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit. He was released and will appear in Brandon court on January 31.
