An Olympic-level badminton exhibition will take over the Winnipeg Winter Club on Sunday.
Olympian badminton player Toby Ng and his brother, Derrick Ng, both from Team Canada, will be playing with local badminton stars simply to show an elevated level of badminton that Manitobans aren’t usually able to see. The exhibition is free of charge to all spectators
“It’s rare to get a glimpse of professional sports in Winnipeg these days; when the NHL and NHLPA let their egos compete instead of their players, the CFL season is officially over, and the Goldeyes season has come and gone,” said Manitoba Badminton Association executive director Ryan Giesbrecht.
The exhibition runs from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at 200 River Avenue.
