What’s Open and Closed on New Year’s Day

All civic and provincial government offices are closed on New Year’s Day, January 1.

Most retail stores will close early today and remain closed on Tuesday.

Recycling and garbage pickup scheduled for Tuesday will move to Wednesday. The remaining collection days of the week will be pushed back a day, making Friday’s pickup on Saturday, January 5.

Manitoba Liquor Marts will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. tonight and closed on Tuesday.

Brady Road Landfill will be closed on Tuesday.

Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Tuesday.
