A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the death of a 42-year-old man.
Altona police were called to a residence in Plum Coulee at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday for a report of an injured man. Officers then located the deceased victim inside.
RCMP and other local police detachments are now investigating a homicide.
An autopsy has been scheduled in Winnipeg for Tuesday.
The youth hasn’t been formally charged and the investigation is continuing.
UPDATE: January 1, 2013 — The male youth suspect was charged with second degree murder on December 31. He remains in police custody and will make a court appearance in Winnipeg on January 2. The cause of death to the victim is attributed to multiple stab wounds.
