Two Canadian starters have had their contracts extended with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The football club announced Wednesday the extensions of slotback Cory Watson and offensive guard Chris Greaves. Terms of the deals weren’t disclosed.
“We are very pleased to lock up two of our young, solid, Canadian players for the foreseeable future,” said Bombers vice-president and general manager Joe Mack. “We’ve been very pleased with Chris’ progress from the day we drafted him, and feel he is continuing his progression into a great offensive lineman in this league. Cory is a big, physical target for us that has come a long way since he joined our club out of the draft in 2010, and we are looking for him to have a breakout season in 2013.”
