Manitobans Challenged to Eat Local in 2013

January 3, 2013 9:31 AM | News

Food Matters ManitobaFood Matters Manitoba is challenging citizens to eat local this year with the 2013 Dig In Challenge.

It’s an opportunity to connect with local farmers, cook from scratch, grow your own food and enjoy made-in-Manitoba food dishes.

The five-month challenge begins in February and allows participants to create their own customizable pledge, based on their food interests. The challenge is free to sign up, and by joining will allow those to attend food skill workshops, share local food recipes, swap food tips and ideas with the community, and win prizes.

Besides individuals, workplaces, schools and faith groups can also join.

To register, visit DigInManitoba.ca/challenge.
