Folk Festival’s Family Series to Thrill Kids

Winnipeg Folk Festival LogoThe Winnipeg Folk Festival has planned a series of shows for children in this year’s Folk For Families series.

Held at the Millennium Library downtown, the hour-long interactive children’s shows take place on the second Saturday of every month, starting January 12 at 1:30 p.m.

“The Lion’s Den” will open the roster of shows, where Daniel Jordan and Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner combine education and entertainment into raucous and fun-filled family “edu-tainment.”

The shows are free of charge to attend and run through April.

Schedule:

  • Saturday, February 9 — Experiments in Sound featuring Scott Senior and Amber Epp
  • Saturday, March 9 — Judy Cook and Swingset
  • Saturday, April 13 — Seanster and the Monsters
