The east half of the Sturgeon Road Bridge will reopen to traffic tonight at 7 p.m.
The replacement project saw the bridge raised for an active transportation path under its north span, and replaced the deteriorated and load-restricted, existing structure.
The west portion of the bridge, active transportation path and landscaping is expected to be completed by the fall of 2013. One lane in each direction will be maintained during construction.
The $12 million project will extend the life of the bridge by 75 years.
