Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel (CHRISD.CA FILE)
Registration is now open for the annual Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel held on the Assiniboine River.
From February 8-10, the bonspiel will include more than 64 teams playing for charity. The “fun-raiser” has raised over $40,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba over the years.
This year’s event is dedicated to a former colleague and friend of the organizers, Don Nixon, who lost his life in October 2012.
Musicians will entertain the crowd on Friday and Saturday evenings, welcoming curlers and guests throughout the evening.
