An advocate for Winnipeg’s North End has been honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Kyle Mason is the executive director and founder of the North End Family Centre. The 34-year-old has been recognized for his significant achievement and remarkable service to the city neighbourhood.
“I am truly honoured,” Mason said in a statement. “But I didn’t do this all by myself, many people have played major roles in building the North End Family Centre. I’m blessed to lead an outstanding team of volunteers, staff, board members, supporters, and community members.”
The medals will be handed out to Mason and other deserving recipients during a ceremony on January 27 in Mississauga, Ontario.
