The Winnipeg Foundation has broken the $300 million mark in total grants given since its inception.
The Foundation released its 2012 results on Wednesday, which helped them to distribute $21.2 million back into the community.
“This was a great year for The Winnipeg Foundation, which makes it a great year for our entire community,” said CEO Richard Frost in a statement. “We owe this success to the donors, from all walks of life, who have entrusted us with their resources and their hopes and dreams for our community. Their generosity is a great example of our smart and caring community.”
Nearly 800 organizations received a total of $26.1 million in gifts last year — the most distributed since 2004.
