Manitoba’s Office of the Chief Veterinary Officer has seized 10 horses over health concerns.

The province says the seizure on January 14 took place in the RM of Lakeview due to the health, care and well-being of the animals.

The owners of the horses have until Monday to file a notice of objection, which prevents the horses from being sold or given away until an appeal is heard.

Anyone who suspects any animal is lacking adequate food, water, shelter or medical attention, is encouraged to contact the Animal Care Line at (204) 945-8000.
