Truck Stolen as Owner Scrapes Windows

Winnipeg Police CrestA Winnipeg man who was scraping ice from his vehicle’s windows had his truck stolen last Friday.

Police say the incident happened in the 100 block of Marlene Street on January 18. The 59-year-old victim was approached by two men, when one of them asked for the time. The vehicle owner was assaulted when he looked down. The two then made off with his 2004 Toyota 4Runner.

The victim was treated for minor injuries in hospital.

The first suspect is described as aboriginal, 5’10”, early 30s, 180-190 pounds, stocky build and no facial hair. He was wearing a dark winter jacket. The second suspect was also aboriginal and about 5’11”, early 30s and about 200 pounds. He was also wearing a dark jacket.

The four-door 4Runner is grey in colour with Manitoba plate ERJ 910.
