The city’s executive policy committee has recommended overturning some funding cuts outlined in the 2013 budget.
During a meeting Wednesday, several changes to the budget were approved, which would see funding returned to Winnipeg’s museums and Sherbrook Pool.
The amendments include returning $56,147 to the budget for museums and $200,000 to address structural concerns at Sherbrook Pool.
EPC also recommended $1.9 million to fight Dutch Elm disease, $340,000 to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy to meet increasing labour and utility costs, and changes to salary rates for city employees.
The changes will be discussed by city council on January 29.
