Folk Festival Series Brings Sounds to the City

Winnipeg Folk Festival LogoThe Winnipeg Folk Festival is bringing the sounds of its summer at event at Birds Hill Park to the city this winter with a series of free workshops.

The “In The City” series at the Millennium Library will be presented the fourth Saturday of every month starting January 26 and running through April.

The line-up of Manitoba-based artists include:

  • January 26 — “To Every Thing, There is a Season,” featuring Jenny Berkel, Kayla Luky & JD Edwards
  • February 23 — “All You Need is Love,” featuring Jaylene Johnson, Don Amero & Keith MacPherson
  • March 23 — “O Mother, Where Art Thou?” featuring Nicky Mehta, Keri Latimer & Katie Murphy
  • April 27 — “All Ukulele, All The Time,” featuring Hal Brolund, Judy Cook & Kate Ferris

Performances begin at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free.
