University of ManitobaThe latest trends in modern oral health practice to cutting-edge scientific research are being discussed today at Research Day 2013.

Held at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, practitioners have descended on the city from across the province to attend the talks, which are being held in conjunction with the annual convention of the Manitoba Dental Association.

“Research Day should be of particular interest to those who would like to get a glimpse of the future of the profession,” said Dr. Raj Bhullar, associate dean or research at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Dentistry. “We have several notable scientists who will provide updates on their latest findings plus a several student scientists, some of whom have gained international notice for their work.”

Student researchers of the faculty will present their clinical work, some of which has been acclaimed at industry events in the United States and Canada. Much of the research being discussed could have a significant impact on the future of oral health in Canada and North America.
