Manitoba RCMP are urging snowmobilers to use caution after a strip of water opened up on the Burntwood River.

Police say riders should stay clear of open water near the Miles Heart Bridge as the ice downstream of the log boom isn’t safe.

Recent snowmobile tracks indicate that snowmobilers are travelling over open water in the area, according to Thompson RCMP.
