The University of Manitoba Bison men’s basketball has a lot at stake tonight as they compete for a playoff spot against the crosstown University of Winnipeg Wesmen.
The game at Investors Group Athletic Centre will see Manitoba (14-7) and Winnipeg (13-8) go at it as the Bisons sit in first place in the Prairie Division. The Westmen have a slight disadvantage going into the matchup with a fourth place spot.
The Bisons have one remaining game in the 2012-13 Canada West conference regular season and have won seven of their last nine conference games as they head into the important one-game homestand. If Manitoba wins the game, they will clinch a playoff spot.
The women play at 6 p.m. with the men following at 8 p.m.
