Amateur Hockey Players to Be Mentored by Olympians

Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest ManitobaA two-day hockey clinic in Winnipeg and Brandon this weekend will see two-time Olympic gold medalists and Cassie Campbell-Pascall and Sami Jo Small coach 350 minor hockey players.

The hockey stars are part of the second annual Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest Manitoba. Participants in novice, atom and peewee levels will have the opportunity to improve both on-ice game skills and off-ice life skills with coaching from some of the best female hockey players in the world.

Winnipeg’s MTS Iceplex will host the event on Sunday, February 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:40 p.m., while Brandon’s Westman Communications Group Place (Keystone Centre) will host the girls from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 18. Both events will include a keynote address from the Olympians about the importance of the hard work and perseverance in helping them reach their personal and professional goals.

Scotiabank is partnering with Hockey Manitoba to put on the event.
