The Manitoba Bison men’s basketball team finished in third place in the Prairie Division over the weekend.
The Bisons, with a 14-8 record, make it to the post-season for the third time in 12 seasons. The Bisons now prepare to face the second place Victoria Vikes (16-6) in the 2013 Canada West Quarter Final best-of-three series at Victoria February 22-24.
Co-captain Stephan Walton finished ninth in Canada West scoring at 17.3 points per game and Jonar Huertas was tied 12th at 16.6.
The Bisons play Friday and Saturday on the road. Should Manitoba and Victoria each win one game, they’ll play again on Sunday, February 24 at 5 p.m. CT.
