The City of Winnipeg’s Animal Services Agency is nearing capacity for impounded dogs and is holding a sale in an attempt to adopt out some pooches to loving homes.

The agency is currently housing 58 dogs, 38 of which are available for adoption. The remaining 20 are unlicensed strays who are waiting for their owners.

From Thursday to Sunday, the agency will be holding an Adopt-a-Dog sale, where dogs will be $99 and include a license, micro-chip, spay/neuter, basic shots, food and pet health insurance.

The sale will run Thursday and Friday from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 1057 Logan Avenue.
