A new lottery game has a western twist for the prairie provinces and territories.
WESTERN MAX features a $2 million top prize and seven additional $1 million prizes, with subsidiary prizes ranging from $2 to $100,000.
Available to those in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, draws will be made every Friday night.
No one will be able to buy a ticket in Vancouver or Toronto, increasing the chances for those who play by excluding the two major Canadian cities.
All proceeds from WESTERN MAX go toward priority programs and services in the areas where tickets are sold.
Tickets will go on sale on February 24, with the first draw being made on March 1.
