Bisons’ Track Team Finishes in Third Place

University of Manitoba BisonsThe University of Manitoba Bison men’s track and field team finished third over the weekend in Regina.

The Bisons earned two more silver and one bronze individual medals at the 2013 Canada West Track and Field Championship.

“The weekend had lots of ups and downs and we performed as well as we hoped for,” said Bison track and field head coach Claude Berube. “We had some surprising results which vaulted us into third on the men’s side and I am pleased that more Bison athletes qualified for the CIS Championship in a couple of weeks.”

In second place was Alhaji Mansaray in high jump and Eric Furletti in pole vault while Wilfred Samking ended up third in 60m race and men’s 4×200, 4x400m both were third.
