Order of Military Merit

Five Winnipeg-based members of the military will be honoured today in Ottawa with the Order of Military Merit.

Colonel Richard Witherden (2 Canadian Air Division), Master Corporal Pierre Bernier (4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group Detachment Winnipeg), Sergeant Joël Manaigre (435 Transport and Rescue Squadron), Chief Warrant Officer Allan Rishchynski (38 Canadian Brigade Group Headquarters), and Warrant Officer Darcy St-Laurent (Canadian Forces School of Survival and Aeromedical Training) will receive their honours during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.

In total, Governor General David Johnston will bestow 3 commanders, 10 officers and 37 members.
