Winnipeg Blue Bombers LogoThe Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed the son of legendary punter and Hall of Famer Bob Cameron.

Winnipeg native Brett Cameron will suit up for the Blue and Gold in the same position his father played. Cameron played his high school football at St. Pauls before heading to UND for four seasons, where he finished with a career punting average of 40.6 and tied for the second best in UND history.

The 23-year-old landed 57 punts inside the 20-yard line and had 30 punts of 50-yards or longer at UND.

“Brett is a prospect with great potential at the professional level,” said Blue Bombers vice-president and GM Joe Mack. “When it is the right fit, it is always appealing to have local talent within your organization and we look forward to Brett coming in and competing in our training camp.”
