A fundraiser for Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art (MAWA) will have a tasty twist on Sunday, March 17.
The ninth annual Over the Top Art Auction and Cupcake Party will see works of art up for auction from 100 of the country’s hottest artists. Works from Wanda Koop, Aganetha Dyck, Shaun Morin, Melanie Rocan, Bill Eakin, KC Adams and more will be available to bid on.
The art auction will be open for a preview and advance bids on Friday, March 15 from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The actual auction will take place on the 17th from 2 to 5 p.m. at 611 Main Street. Opening bids begin at $50.
Admission is $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
Proceeds will go to MAWA’s programming, which encourages and supports the intellectual and creative development of women in the visual arts.
