The Winnipeg Blue Bombers raised just over $27,000 in October for the Keeping Abreast Foundation.
Pink team merchandise was sold during the month for the third year in a row and will go to fund breast cancer research.
“Breast cancer is something that affects so many Manitoba women and their families which is why we are so proud to support the Keeping Abreast Fund,” said Blue Bomber president and CEO, Garth Buchko. “We look forward to further strengthening this great partnership and encourage fans to show even stronger support in 2013 by purchasing and wearing pink.”
More than $66,000 has been donated to the organization through the Blue Bombers’ initiative.
