GLBTTQ Ads to Be Screened at Pride Fundraiser

Reel PrideA series of commercials with acceptance towards the GLBTTQ community will be screened this weekend.

Reel Pride Winnipeg is hosting the fundraiser on Sunday, March 10 to show some of the best GLBTTQ commercials from around the world.

“Beer companies, perfumes, drinks, cars and many more that utilize our realities to sell a product, but in doing so, these ads are a testimony to a level of social acceptance that the queer community has long sought after and still continues to assert,” organizers said in a release.

The public is invited to attend either of two screenings at the Gas Station Arts Centre at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 with proceeds going to fund the 2013 Reel Pride film festival in October.
