Churchill High School is receiving $32,050 to replace the bleachers and install new sod at the Bill Madder Athletic Complex.
The funding announced Friday by the federal government is part of the last phase in a complete renovation of the site, which will enhance an important recreational facility for local high school students and community members in Winnipeg when complete.
“I am proud to see Churchill High School benefit from our Government’s support for local infrastructure,” said MP Joyce Bateman. “This investment will help create jobs, growth and will support the prosperity of this community for many years to come.”
The facility’s field and running track were recently completed this fall.
