The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba will choose a candidate to run in the Morris byelection on Monday, May 13.
MLA Mavis Taillieu stepped down in February to focus on family life and had served the constituency for nearly 10 years.
Anyone seeking nomination to run for the PC Party must have their papers in by Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 5 p.m. CT. For voting privileges one must have purchased a PC membership by Monday, April 29, 2013 at 5 p.m.
Party members will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Oak Bluff Recreation Centre, 101 MacDonald Road. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m.
A date for the byelection hasn’t been set and will have to be formally called by Premier Greg Selinger.
