First ‘Goodwork’ Event to Benefit United Way

United WayA group of young Winnipeg professionals will devote their time and energy to the United Way on Saturday.

The first annual Goodwork event will see volunteers specializing in branding, design, marketing strategy, social media strategy, writing and web development put their skills in motion for projects on behalf of the United Way and 14 of their non-profit partner agencies.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m., 40 volunteers from Secret Handshake will tackle 35 projects over a span of 7.5 hours. Some of the projects include designing business cards and building websites to creating a human rights workbook.

The projects will be completed on United Way’s main floor at 580 Main Street.
