A group of six University of Manitoba business students will sleep outside for five days beginning today.
5 Days for the Homeless will raise funds for the Resource Assistance for Youth, Inc. (RaY), while raising awareness and bringing focus to the issue of youth homelessness.
From March 10-15, Morgan Fisher, Emily Ashley, Justin Monton, Janelle Remillard, Khrystyna Prokopovych and Colin Mcdougall will live outside the Asper School of Business for five days and nights, while still fulfilling all duties as students.
“We’re very proud to organize the Winnipeg chapter of this great national campaign,” said Jayd Christie, co-chair of 5 Days for the Homeless. “It’s a good way of raising awareness and changing the stigma people have towards homeless youth.”
