Leaky Faucet - WaterMarch 18-24 is Fix a Leak Week and the City of Winnipeg is encouraging residents to check their plumbing for any leaks around the house, such as toilets and dripping faucets.

The city says monitoring your home for leaks on a regular basis helps conserve water resources, plus it can ensure homeowners aren’t spending more than they have to on water bills.

Fix a Leak Week checklist

  1. Check for leaks (e.g., toilets, faucets, showerheads).
  2. Fix leaks immediately.
  3. Replace fixtures if necessary with WaterSense labelled models.

Residents can also apply to the Toilet Replacement Credit Program to receive a $60 water bill credit through 2013.
